Office of Women's Business Ownership--SBA division to help women entrepreneurs.

**Federal Trade Commission**--A wealth of information including actions against businesses and individuals who have been accused of fraud, etc. Links, and addresses and telephone numbers for state sites such as Better Business Bureaus, consumer protection, public utilities commission, securities law, etc. We've used this for basic research.

--Information on the insurance system, foreclosed real estate for sale, etc.

U.S. Treasury--A wealth of info on U.S. government bonds from savings bonds on up. A must if you're into U.S. government bonds.

The following State agencies can help you do business inside their particular state. The web site for each state Department of Revenue, Secretary of State, and Attorney General is listed. Go the Secretary of State to find information about business entities. The Department of Revenue is the place to find out about taxes and fees, and the Attorney General sites can help with legal issues, and will give an indication of the business and legal climate in the state.
